Pause Mode at WedCam

Not every wedding or event runs at a constant pace. Sometimes there are program points where you and your guests would prefer not to take photos—like an emotional speech, an intimate moment, or a short setup break between activities. That’s exactly why we developed the pause mode at WedCam. With this feature, you can halt the upload of new photos with just one click, and then reactivate it later once the right moment has arrived.

The pause mode is easy to find in your WedCam settings. There, you can enable or disable further photo uploads for your current event with a single click. When pause mode is active, your guests will see a brief notice instead of the regular upload area, letting them know that uploading isn’t possible at that moment. As soon as you deactivate the pause mode again, photos can be uploaded as usual and will automatically appear in your online gallery. The entire process is designed so that you have full control over the publication of your event photos, without having to navigate through complicated menus.

• Private moments: At weddings, there may be times when the couple wants a bit of privacy. Pause mode ensures that no new photos are uploaded during these periods.
• Surprise activities: If you’re planning a special segment like fireworks or a spectacular show that should remain a secret at first, pause mode prevents any early snapshots from appearing in the gallery too soon.
• Event transitions: When a band is setting up or the venue is being rearranged for the next program item, some hosts prefer not to have “in-between photos” in their gallery. Quickly activating pause mode solves that problem.
• Intentional slowing down: Sometimes it’s simply nice to take a break from constant photo snapping and enjoy the moment without a smartphone in hand. You can disable uploads to encourage your guests to have an “offline” experience.

The main advantage is flexibility. You always have full control over your digital photo booth. At the same time, your guests know exactly when uploads are possible and when they’re not. Technical issues are also easier to handle: if, for instance, there’s a temporary network fluctuation, you can disable uploads during that time and reactivate them later. This way, you stay flexible and can direct the flow of photos to suit your event perfectly.

The pause mode is intuitively designed. In your WedCam dashboard, you’ll find a button indicating the current status: active or paused. A single click is all it takes to toggle the mode. You don’t have to announce it to your guests or fiddle with complicated settings. This saves time and nerves—especially during stressful moments or if you spontaneously decide to only allow photo uploads after a particular break in the program.

With WedCam’s pause mode, you control photo uploads exactly as you need. Unwanted pictures won’t appear during sensitive moments, surprises stay under wraps, and you can enjoy your celebration without constant smartphone clicks. As soon as you’re ready to gather more photos, simply disable the pause mode and all your guests can jump back into using WedCam’s digital photo booth.
